Enniscorthy Castle
Strange and ghostly events take place and have been recorded by paranormal groups around Enniscorthy Castle.
Not known is whether the spirits who have stayed behind in the castle are from the poor souls left to perish below in the dungeon (where the temperature is always chilly) or if they are souls who lived or died around the castle during tumultuous times.
Come and see – feel the feelings from the castle vibrations and make up your own mind.
The castle was built in the 13th century and has been inhabited across the spectrum of humanity – Norman Knights, English armies, Irish rebels and prisoners and merchant families from the vicinity.
Medieval wall art adorns the dungeon and if you visit the battlements, you will see Vinegar Hill where the famous battle took place.
